Mountain Farm Retreat is a luxury farm in the heart of the Yarra Valley. We are located on Mount Toolebewong, just a few minutes away from the beautiful town of Healesville.
We cater everything from romantic escapes, special occasions, family getaways and wedding stayovers. Whether you’re a couple looking for an intimate weekend away, a family looking for a relaxing break, or a group of friends seeking your next fun adventure, we have the right accomodation for you!
Our 20 acres of nature, surrounding forests and tracks will seduce you in this stunning area filled with scenic routes, breathtaking valleys and mountains of lush greenery. In Mountain Farm Retreat, you’re surronded by nature and wild life. You may encounter wild deers, wombats, wallabies, kangaroos, lyrebirds and a stunning array of other native birds during your stay.
The houses are almost self sufficient, with water coming directly from our spring and solar panels for electricity. Ecology is a really important part of our lifestyle here.

The spirit of the mountain plateau is reflected in seeing Melbourne below then turning your back and listening to a lyrebird sing, a wombat dig or a wallaby watching as you walk by. Be still and listen to pure quiet or the forest bending to the wind.
Accomodations
The Big House
This beautiful spacious house is perfect for a family or group of friends. It sleeps up to 10 people, with 5 spacious bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (including two ensuites). Fully equipped with a modern kitchen, a welcoming lounge and a large terrace with outdoor setting, it is ideal for a weekend away or a vacation.
Relax to the rhythm of the farm in our gardens or explore the Yarra Valley and all its attractions!
The Cottage
This cute and intimate cottage is ideal for a romantic getaway. It is fully equiped with a kitchenette, a cosy lounge, a bathroom and a private home office setup. The master bedroom directly overlooking the forest will seduce you. The highlight of the show is the outdoor spa that will ensure a perfect moment of relaxation and disconnection.

How do i get to the Farm?
Mountain Farm Retreat is located 10 minutes away from Healseville, or 1:30 hour away from Melbourne. You can take a bus from Melbourne to Healesville, but the Farm is only accessible by car. You can also take a Uber from Healesville to the Farm.
If you want to enjoy all of the activities that the area has to offer, we advise you to have a vehicle!
The Cottage address is 279 Nyora Road ans The Big House address is 281 Nyora Road.
How do I check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 3pm for both accomodations. It is a self check-in, a code for a keybox will be sent to you before arrival to access the property and the accomodation.
For The Cottage, check-out is at 12pm and for The Big House it is at 11pm.
Is it possible to park on site?
You have ample car parking on site for both accomodations.
Coming soon: you will shortly be able to charge your electric car in The Big House, but note that it is not possible at the moment.
Do you offer breakfasts and meals?
We don’t offer any type of meals. Each accomodation is equiped with a fully functional kitchen or kitchenette, so you can cook. You can also dine out in Healesville or the Yarra Valley, you can check our restaurant recomandations in our Attractions page. However, we offer wine on arrival, fresh spring water, sourdough and free range eggs from our farm to enhance your stay!
What is the maximum number of guests per accomodation?
The Cottage is designed for 2 people. The Big House can accomodate up until 10 people.
What are your tariffs?
For The Cottage, rates are $250 per night (with a minimum stay of 2 nights), excluding taxes or Airbnb fees. For The Big House, rates are $xxx per night (with a minimum stay of 2 nights) excluding taxes or Airbnb fees.
For longer stays (more than 7 nights), you will get a discount of 15% on your accomodation.
Do the accomodations have WIFI?
The Cottage and The Big House both have WIFI. Optus has unlimited coverage, but note that mobile phone reception is sketchy on the Farm and its surroundings if you are with another provider.
What are the Farm activities?
We offer plenty of activities in the Farm. We can conduct a Farm tour where you’ll be able to collect the eggs from the chickens, meet our farm animals, and discover our vegetable garden. There is also an inground trampoline and a basketball court at your disposal in the Big House. You can find out about all the activities on offer on our Activities page.
What are the local attractions?
We are ideally situated in the Yarra Valley, allowing you to enjoy a number of local attractions, like the Healesville Sanctuary, regional parks, wineries tour, walking tracks, the Yarra Valley Railway, exhibitions, and a selection of restaurants and bars.
